Le succésseur de SCO est ...
... Microsoft !

Je me suis amuse a prendre quelques photos.

mars-attacks wiki
The MarsAttacks wiki is openned !
It's still a little empty for the moment, but when I want to write something interesting, I'll add it on this wiki now :)
However I have a lot of work now and for the next month, and will not have a lot of time for that.

Microsoft says Firefox not a threat to IE
Quoted from a CNET article :
"Because IE is ubiquitous, you hear a lot more about it, but I don't think that Internet Explorer is any less secure than any other browser out there," English said.
Anyone reading a security list can see that IE is full of holes. This is not because there are a lot of users, this is because the program has a very bad design.
Vamos said that although he has heard other people mention the competitive threat posed by Firefox, he doesn't see it as a problem.
"I'm not sure that that is the reality. I have seen comments around that, but there is nothing I can refer to that really supports that," he said. Instead, Vamos said, consumers need to be educated about all the features already offered by Microsoft's browser.
"We probably need to do a bit of work to communicate the features that are in IE," he said.
Vamos, who admitted he has never used Firefox, said there is a lot of hype surrounding the open-source movement and that if Microsoft's customers wanted new features, they would have told the company about it.
How can we take seriously what he is saying if he didn't even take time to run Firefox one time, and see what features are avaible ? Does he really wants us to believe that people are happy with popups openning on some website ? Does he really think we will beleive that the problem is that users don't know what features are avaible in IE ?
This is MS and they are still lying.

How to reset the Administrator password on a Windows NT/XP/2000 computer
If you're able to reboot the computer and boot on a floppy disk or CDROM, that's quite easy (but that's easy on almost any operating system on a PC).
You just have to use the bootdisk or program avaible on this website :
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
You boot on the floppy disk, then you'll be able to reset the password for any account.
An other solution if you don't want to reset the admin passwd, is to write down on a paper the password hash for the account. Then you can use this webpage to get the password from the hash in a few seconds :
http://lasecwww.epfl.ch/~oechslin/projects/ophcrack/
By the way, while you're on this webpage, you can read this article (or this one in french) about rainbow tables and how they used them to pre-calculate most windows passwords, it's quite interesting :)
